This study was conducted to determine the effects of added 15-30% triticale in broiler chick diets and 2040% triticale in broiler diets on the growth performance of broiler. A total number of 390, day old (Avian) commercial hybrid broiler chicks were used in the study. Material was divided into 3 groups, each consisting ot 5 replicates. The rations of control groups contained maize (0 trilicale), triticale was used at rate of 15% and 20% (Group II) and 30% and 40% (Group III) in broiler chick diets and in broiler diets respectively. The study lasted for 42 days. Live weights averaged were found as 1814.5 (control), 1865.5 and 1866.3 g respectively. The differences were not significant (P>0.05). Feed conversion rate were found as 1.96, 1.92 and 2.01 kg feed/ kg weight gains respectively (P>0.05). In conclusion, the finding of the study indicate that, the addition ol 40% triticale in broiler diets does not have any negative effects on the growth performance.
